A Little Bit About Our Winery

Preble County's first winery is located in an original 1890's one-room brick schoolhouse in Eaton, Ohio. Just minutes from Intersate 70, it is within easy reach of Dayton, Greenville and Richmond, IN. and about 90 minutes from Columbus and Indianapolis, IN. About the same time from Cincinnati to the south, via Rt 127.

The old schoolhouse has been lovingly restored and renovated into our beautiful tasting room and yet still retains the feel of what it once was. The old pasture on the corner of Rt 127 and Rt 726 has been planted with hundreds of grape vines, after all, what is a winery without a vineyard?

A warm and friendly place to sit back and relax with friends while enjoying a great glass of wine. Come and give us a visit, relax and enjoy over twenty wines currently available.

Have an event, birthday party, anniversary coming up? We have a large Party Room available for all types of private events. Just let us know and we will get you on our calendar.

Like to kick back and enjoy some good music, we have plenty of great local and regional musicians that come out to play throughout the year. A great way to unwind from a long week of work. We typically have a good variety of food trucks to tempt your tastbuds, but have an open policy on food too. That means that you can bring in a pizza or a picnic basket and enjoy our wines the way you want. We just ask that no other beverages are brought onto the premisis. Other than that cheese to caviar, it's up to you. We think that it all goes fantastic with one of our wines! Click Here to read a bit more about our winery.

Here's What Facebook is Saying About Olde Schoolhouse Winery

I was blown away on how the restoration of the school house is so amazing! They are so easy to find and worth the two hour trip from Columbus Ohio! But the main reason to stop by is obviously the wine! I tried all of them and they're all excellent! And it is no surprise since many of them have won gold, silver and bronze awards. From talking with other visitors there, they always find a wine that they love even if they aren't big win drinkers. You guys are doing wonderful and keep up the excellent work!

I had never been a wine lover until Olde schoolhouse came to town. Now my husband and I have a new found LOVE of wines. We visit weekly for low key enjoyable environment. By far, Olde Schoolhouse is our favorite.

How great to find such knowledgeable, friendly, fun wine people in Eaton. I'm only sorry we did not start going to OSW when it first opened. We missed what I am sure would have been a lot of enjoyable time trying out their wines. I have to admit I wasn't excited the first time we went, expecting to find mostly grossly sweet wines more typical of a lot of the Ohio and Indiana wineries we've visted. As a dry, red wine drinker, I was amazed at the quality and drinkability of the wines we tasted. Yes, there were quite a few sweeter wines on offer, but the balance with acid in the sweet wines was awesome. I am now a believer in sweet wines, at least, from OSW. Thank you for such a great experience!

Before we went for the first time we were skeptical and assumed that the wines would be typical crummy Ohio wines...not very good and far too sweet for our taste. Yes, to enjoy wine you have to start from somewhere, but Ohio wines are, well, Ohio wines. We have been more than pleased, I would say extremely happy with their dry red and dry white selections. We are anxiously awaiting their Malbec, made with Chilean juice. Yes they have the sweet entry type wines, but for those that prefer a more robust dry taste, they more than fill your bill. This is a winery that other wineries need to visit and attempt to emulate. BRAVO guys you are doing good!
